There are ample amount of faith based and redemptive films which are cranked out in days. In fact I know producers who seem to kick out a feature length movie every two to three months. Thats o.k. Everytone has their own path. The producers and writers of The Prodigal recognize the power of this story and we believe we have produced a modern retelling of that universal redemptive story in a gritty and challenging way, and we will pull out all the stops to produce the heart wrenching understanding of the power of redemption! This production company recognizes that we have this one single opportunity to go toe to toe with any of the blockbuster level movies that Hollywood can crank out and we had to bring forward a bold story, a bold project with equally matched bold faith! Projects of this magnitude take time, time to season the story, allow the story to season and mature. We have also been presented opportunities that if we were able to move when the budget was four times smaller, we would have missed some unique offerings and at a smaller budget, this movie would have ended up just one of many retellings of this story.
