The Progressives implemented policies to exploit Australias wealth for Australias benefit via the Minerals Resource Rent Tax, that is, to claim a portion of the mineral worth that comes from our lands to enhance the welfare of its own people as many other countries do, thats what Social Democracy is all about, use your own wealth to benefit your own people. Abbott has stopped that idea, hes just announced a cut of our war personel orphans payments to be funded by the MRRT. He also has stopped Gonski, NDIS, pensioner pay lifts, essential service pay rises, has cut slashed and demolished our Indigenous departments funding right across the board, to be funded by the MRRT. The Pollution price is also planned to be stopped, this program too funded many Social welfare programs. All these to be funded by our own wealth. The LNP dare not attempt any Bill now without first consulting with the Corporations. And so, alas, Foreign corporate capitalist . sponsors of many many LNP candidates across state and Federal elections say NO.
