The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated, Do not abuse my Companions, 4 by Him in Whose Hands my life is, if anyone of u spends gold equal 2 Uhud (in Allah’s Cause) it would not be equal 2 a Mud (a dry measure of half bushel, 543 grams) or even a half Mud spent by one of them. Allah (may He be Exalted) states regarding d Muhajirun (Emigrants from Makkah to Madinah) and d Ansar (Helpers, inhabitants of Madinah who supported d Prophet),Surah Al-Hashr, 59: 10 And those who came after them say: “Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts any hatred against those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful.” It is impermissible 2 dispraise any of d Sahabah. We love them, ask Allah 2 be pleased with them, and seek Allah’s 4giveness 4 them. Whoever abuses them or dispraises them, is nothing but a misguided Mubtadi` (one who introduces innovations in religion). May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!
