The Quinlan Visual Arts Center will host its members art exhibition from October 16th - December 6th, 2014. The opening reception will be on October 16th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. This event is free and open to the general public. The exhibit will consist of a wide array of art media and styles. *TO my Facebook friends and family . . . I will have one of my space art paintings titled Celestial Baubles in the exhibit. My wife, Linda Turner will also have a full scale painting depicting her interpretation of the restored fragment of a mural from the ancient Egyptian tomb of Nebamun. Her interpretation presents the mural as it would have appeared prior to being damaged by the looter who sold it to the British Museum in 1820. The original mural, along with a dozen others, was ripped from the tomb walls in 1820 by archaeological looters by todays standards. The original restored fragment, along with most of the other mural fragments, reside in the British Museum in London. We both would love to see our Facebook friends who live close enough to attend at the opening reception.
