The RSPB are extremely naughty I think I am going to withdraw my support for them. I havent spoken to the RSPB since I got back from Africa. I give them £5 a month membership. I just got this letter from them. We will collect a payment of £8 from your bank as of 7th January 2015 and £8 monthly thereafter on the first Wednesday of the month and you can find your direct debit payment schedule and guarantee overleaf. You are supporting our research into the problems facing birds and our environment, and you are helping us introduce young people to the wonders of wildlife. It is not just in the UK that your membership will help. Together we are restoring rainforest in Sumatra and campaigning to protect marine wildlife worldwide. We are saving the albatross from the threats caused by commercial fishing and we are lobbying to protect birds in the Mediterranean. It is extremely bad practice to direct debit out of my account without my permission extra money without my consent and then send me a letter thanking me for agreeing to it, probably in the knowledge that they think I will just let it go because they are a charity. NOT IMPRESSED.
