The Ranks” and “ordination” of the church are concepts of Catholic origin. They have no basis in the Greek text of the New Testament. And still, for instance the King James version causes its readers to think those things to be biblical. The reason for that is that James the king wanted the Church of England to continue to be controlled by a hierarchical system of the Catholic type. Common people were not expected to read the Bible. Also, it was Catholic tradition that counted and not what the Bible said. So, you being ordained means something to you and those who follow you...
