The Republican Party claims Lincoln and honors him with Lincoln Day dinners. Too bad they dont know what Lincoln stood for. He was an extremely kind and generous man who had an incredibly huge heart. It was easy for him to pardon even traitors who fought against the US. He was the epitome of generosity and helping the downtrodden. Too bad the Rs and conservative fringe only care about enriching CEOs. They can and do allow for incredible government subsidies for corporations and do nothing to close the loopholes that lead to waste, fraud and abuse.
