The Republican Party does not hold a monopoly on righteousness, - TopicsExpress

The Republican Party does not hold a monopoly on righteousness, although it seems to hold the edge on self-rightious indignation. Republicans are just as, if not more so, responsible for the downward turn of our nations standing in the world as the far left of the Democratic Party. While they may say that they believe in restoring our nations standing, their absolute willingness to capitulate to the policies of the left is enough for someone to want to stand against the Republican Partys move leftward. Theyre quick to put out good-sounding sound bytes, but when it comes to rolling up their sleaves, its only to show their lack of stength and gumption to stick to their guns. With Republicans like John Boehner, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John Cornyn, and all others willing to roll over and play dead to the left, its no wonder citizens have bound together under the banner of the Tea Party. As long as the Republican Party continues to catipult their liberals to the heights of heroes, the Tea Party will continue to stand solidly against them. The way I read the polls, the Republicans are losing big time, but the one person willing to stand, the one most associated with the Tea Party, is the only one receiving a heros welcome in Texas. That is Ted Cruz. Republicans are becoming as much of a stigma in Texas as liberal Democrats. The earlier they come to that realization, the quicker they can work on correcting their wrongs. If theyre not willing to open their eyes a realize this, if they continue to seek out their validation in the main stream media, they will continue to receive their stern reviews from those who would otherwise be their voters. wacotrib/opinion/columns/guest_columns/brad-holland-guest-columnist-listen-to-coffee-republicans-tea-party/article_96654e44-c9cf-53e2-b575-115921812bb4.html
