The Richard Sherman affair has really reminded me how intolerant mainstream America still is of black men who are completely comfortable in their own skin, a reality that has crippled President Obamas ability to lead immeasurably. Anyway, lets put it this way: Donald Trump has said arrogant things that are 1 million times more obnoxious than anything Sherman said. But Ive never heard him called a thug. You dont have to like what he said, but its clear that hes far more erudite and thoughtful than some of his critics would have us believe.
