The Salt Lake Valley Health Department confirmed that my daughter has Pertussis (Whooping Cough). She has seen 3 doctors over the past 3 weeks, but since she was fully vaccinated on time for all of the infectious diseases they can be vaccinated for, no one was looking for it. We were told, flu, bronchitis, ear infection, asthma complications, finally we know. Now, since she is very active, trying to contact everyone she has been in contact with is a challenge. Just because you are vaccinated, you can not rule out an infectious disease. My daughter just happens to be in that small percent where the vaccine was not effective and her last does was less than a year ago. 3 weeks and she is still coughing until she throws up, and stops breathing. Scary
