The School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability at Northern Arizona University in cooperation with the U.S. Geological Survey Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center is seeking applications for graduate students (MS or Ph.D.) to work on projects related to river science and geomorphology in the Colorado River basin. Areas of potential research include investigation of changes in sediment storage related to river operations, investigation of geochemical tracers for river sediment, and interactions between geomorphology and riparian and aquatic habitat. We anticipate supporting one or two new students with research assistantships and full or partial tuition waivers.
