The Scottish Referendum vote which you have witnessed this week, is in no way different from what the situation was 2/3/4 hundred years ago - You have those opposing occupation and you have those that have sold out to the establishment - and fear the loss of whatever they have accumulated over the years - There is also the added factor of people living for today rather than knowing history - the Johns of today see it normal to be part of the UK. They cant comprehend or relate or even want to acknowledge their history or the struggles of their forefathers. The atrocities committed against the Scottish are a distant tale. Do you think Scotland would have had the same result 50 years ago? - 100 years ago? 200 years ago ? 300 years ago ? The guys who allowed the voting knew exactly where the results were heading -- This situation is no different from what has been happening in the Muslim world for the last 2/3/4 hundred years - Today you have many calling for democracy in Muslim countries - do you think they would have the same response 100 years ago - Today you have many asking for westernisation and moderate Islam - do you think you would have had the same response 100 years ago - ?? We need to open our eyes and see the world for what it really is ---
