The Severe Weather Warning for damaging winds for people in the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts is still current. A cold front over central Victoria will move rapidly to the east of the state this evening and an associated deep low pressure system will pass just south of Tasmania. DAMAGING WINDS averaging up to 60 km/h with peak gusts of 95 km/h are forecast across ALL Victorian districts for the remainder of this afternoon. Winds will rapidly ease inland on nightfall but will continue on the exposed coast until around midnight before gradually easing on Wednesday morning.
