The Simplicity of Clear and Direct Pointing Styles & TOO MANY - TopicsExpress

The Simplicity of Clear and Direct Pointing Styles & TOO MANY WORDS! Often its implied that The Self is the root of everything and it could be said that way too, but I have noticed, in our modern day (at least in nondual circles), that the pointing style of what The Self is pointing to has become merely a vague abstract (which people mistakenly refer to as simplistic and direct pointing) and an intellectual concept which doesnt effectively burn falseness in its inquiry or at least not the way that it used to (when it was fresh, new, and simplistically true for its time and age). Such a pointing style (There is only The Self) is so commonly heard in our modern day that its usefulness is often dead and not present. Hence, fresh and new style pointing is often what is needed when this type of egoic takeover hijacks pointing styles into spiritual concepts and bypassing truth in favor of unconscious and hidden agendas. What the phrase hidden agendas is pointing to is often something that nondual communities wish to avoid because it is falsely thought of as removing the simplicity of Being or tainting simple and direct pointing. These naive nondual ideas arise around pointing styles when people falsely think that they can speak the truth and that they are speaking to others who need to understand the truth which they are speaking. Yet, the more one really gets interested in awakening to the fullness of who and what they are, they will bring the focus back to their own words and discover what is speaking and why. An inquiry into our own words will reveal that most of the time when we speak, we are speaking to cover up hidden agendas. True communication only comes through a deep communion with yourself, to the core of your own heart, then you begin to learn from your own words because the words are so fresh and new to even you, so alive and present that it exposes hidden agendas. And naturally the more you notice hidden agendas within yourself, the more you will begin to notice what is behind everybody elses words because you are so deeply connected to your own words (which is mirrored everywhere else, as everybody else, since there is truly only The Self). Somewhere along the line, people were conditioned into nondual groupthink to believe that the more abstract and vague the pointing style, the more simple, effective, and direct the truth is revealed, and this was true back when it was first discovered as fresh and new for its time, but in our modern age, what I have noticed is that the more precise one can take the tiniest aspect and dive into it so deep that they touch every detail and subtlety, only then is the truth revealed as simple and clear. Its like the precision of driving an arrow dead-center into the target of any and every aspect that can be spoken about within each facet of truth, which always brings it back to the simplicity and wholeness of truth itself. And yes, this usually takes an extreme amount of words, which is also frown upon within the nondual communities as not being simplistic, but what is not noticed is that when the words are spoken in presence then the words are very direct, clear, and so precise that they never leave the target of what is being addressed, no matter how lengthy. As an example, if you right-click that simple button on your mouse, a menu will appear, but the process behind that simple function is a computer language that could easily fill up a whole book or two. Using that example, hopefully it clearly points out the falseness of: less words = more simplistic pointing. This whole spiritual idea that less language is equal to simplistic pointing is quite innocently misunderstanding that the presence of Being is simplistically clear and direct because of the fresh newness from which the words arise from, and has absolutely nothing to do with the actual words themselves or the amount of words used. In fact, that belief can only be believed if one is invested in the physical appearance of what is visional seen - as if seeing less words makes something more true. Of course, you dont have to understand the background information of how a computer works and the massive language that goes into a simple visual click; you dont have to understand the inner processes, what is behind the scenes, or how the words in the computer language works in order to operate the computer. In the same manner, many people are running around like programmed robots in their life and never understanding anything of their inner Being or who and what they are; the inner mechanisms that run behind every action they do and every word they speak, yet they seem to survive just fine. However, if one is really interested in discovering who and what they really are and is devoted to awaken to more than just surviving and in fact dedicated to actually discovering what is true in a fuller context, then they must become interested in their inner workings through questioning their actions and words, inquiring into themselves and getting very precise and detailed about the inner workings and the programming that is being processed behind the scenes. What makes you tick and why? What is really happening just under the surface of what seems to be happening? The unconscious programming runs deep and subtle details are discovered that get very precise and clear about all the different but connected parts. Everything is The Self. There is only This and you are That. is not going to cut it anymore, thats a very surface and immature nondual spiritual understanding (when compared to what is presently happening in our modern day) and often hides inner agendas. The new and fresh simplicity will arrive in the precision of the inner details, explaining how and why every gear within is connected to every other gear that moves the hands of the outer ticking clock. This new and fresh simplicity invites us to be present with our own words, which requires taking the time(lessness) to feel into what we are saying and discovering the sensitivity, accuracy and honesty of what are saying and how aligned our words are with what we are being. To continue with this clock metaphor: yes, notice that its all one whole and complete clock, not separate from anything else. Indeed, notice that its just simply this effortless ticking clock, but also take it deeper and understand the inner workings of the clock and how all the aspects of the clock are connected, why it ticks and how it ticks. Of course, noticing the subtleties of the inner clock, will gradually change the outer manifestation of how the clock functions, but dont be afraid of these unknown changes; the clock was never really measuring time anyhow (it was only a limited perspective). The clock was merely habitually running in unconscious cycles. The clock is just a bundle of repetitive and predictable movements that we got familiar with and comfortable in our knowing of these movements, thus, stopped presently noticing. How easy it is to go fall back into unconscious movements when were living in a new default of spiritual predictability. How hypnotic and seductive it is to fall into a sleepy dream-like state when we have awoken to our first tastes of surface and immature spiritual freedom. Can you explain the function, the core, the hidden aspects of how it is programmed to run and its process in great detail and with accurate precision (without getting lost in complexity of all the moving gears)? If not, perhaps there is more to inquire into, more to notice, to investigate, discover. Life that is awake to itself is constantly discovering itself anew. When does Life stop noticing itself? :P So, to all those whom say: Nick, thats WAY TOO MANY WORDS!, I invite you to notice what says that and why. ;) What unconscious movements are running behind the scenes of those words? Because I assure you that the amount of words and the time it takes to read them (2 mins min - 7 mins max) has no influence of your timeless Being and for someone who says they are interested in spiritual awakening and invites a response from me, would surely be interested in the response without conditions on the length of the response. I deeply understand the inner energy behind the too many words response since in hindsight I have noticed this same protective mechanism within me when reading something that struck a cord while reading but I was not consciously ready to face what I was reading, so I would say very similar things: Wow! Thats a lot of words to read! It doesnt speak to me, you seem lost in the intellect. Truth is simplistic and your complexing it with too many words. Funny how the words, in that quote above, feel so true but only when its convenient to us and yet what is complexing the simplicity and directness of the clear and present words being spoken is that which energetically feels the words are pointing to something true (but doesnt want to face it), thus, we zoom-out of where the words are pointing and only focus on the visual sight of this huge amount of words instead (now we can easily ignore where the words point). Tricky tricky ;)
