The South Australian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) released a report earlier this week revealing that wind farms have little impact on low frequency noise levels. The EPA compared noise levels at houses near wind farms (including Waterloo windfarm) then measured again when the wind farm was switched off and took comparison measurements in other rural and urban areas. They found low frequency noise levels near wind farms in the study were no greater than levels in similar rural households.
