The Spirit & Prophecy vs The Spirit Of Prophecy? I have encountered too many preachers, evangelists and teachers who passionately teach prophecy but do not themselves possess the Spirit of Prophecy! It is the Spirit which is lacking in our teaching of prophecy which makes our presentation of prophecy as lifeless as history. We really need to quit teaching prophecy without the Spirit because without the Spirit of Prophecy, the knowledge of prophecy is merely a pending death wish hanging over our heads! In other words, prophecy without the Spirit of Prophecy is like a fool predicting his own death. To teach prophecy correctly is the gift of the Spirit, which teaching must be attended by the Spirit of Prophecy, in order to produce in both the teacher and the students/hears, the fruit of the Spirit! So any and all professed teachers of prophecy who fail to manifest the very fruit of the Spirit, do not, in deed and in truth, possess the Spirit of Prophecy and especially shun those students of prophecy who apparently believe their teachings of prophecy yet you see in their lives no evidence of the fruit of the Spirit, for that is merely a savor of death unto death. Do not ye after their dead works... Sister Whites works speak for themselves. She had the true gift of the Holy Spirit of Prophecy. Hear her and follow after her works! Only then can you prosper... Let me say it this way. When prophecy is taught in and by the Spirit of Prophecy then the dead will be raised because no dry bone can stay dead which when the Spirit of Prophecy falls upon it. In other words, there can be no revival without the Spirit of Prophecy, therefore the word of the Lord is: Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Eze 37:4
