The Start Again Project team in San Agustin Elementary School in Palo, Leyte! The past two days, the Start Again Project conducted workshops such as singing and dancing, arts and crafts, and games and activities, held feeding programs, and distributed school supplies to five of our recipient schools, namely San Agustin Elementary School, Capirawan Elementary School, Kauswagan Elementary School, Kauswagan National High School, and Barayong Elementary School. In total, we were able to meet almost a thousand students. We were also able to distribute more than a thousand books to start up the libraries of all of these schools. The team was able to bring about 2 points of our 7-Point Plan -- FEEDING PROGRAM and SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE. Yesterday, we were able to visit the San Joaquin Parish in Palo, Leyte, where we will be building a memorial for the mass grave with almost 600 bodies. We also saw the water filtration systems in our different schools and the water pump we built for the community of Capirawan. Today, we will be visiting a vocational school in Samar to see how we can help the teachers and the students. And this afternoon, we will be putting roofs on the temporary classrooms in our different schools. The team has now implemented the point POTABLE WATER SYSTEMS and is now starting up on three more points -- YOLANDA MEMORIAL, HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM and ROOF FOR SCHOOLS. We are also preparing for our first medical mission to be held in May, for the point MEDICAL MISSIONS. The Start Again Project is in full swing! We thank everyone who has been supporting, praying and sharing to this endeavor! The Start Again Project team feels that we have truly found a family here. In the three visits that we had undertaken in the past four months, we saw how there is less change on the material aspect of the community, but what is much more evident is the drastic change on the spirit of the people -- in the midst of the tragedy that surrounds us, the people here made us feel nothing but a sense of hope and the possibility of a brighter future. We are all witnesses that it is truly never too late to START AGAIN. Watch out for our updates and photos! If you wish to be part of this endeavor, contact us at startagainproject@gmail!
