The State Budget is on our plate today to be debated. It is 6.3 Billion dollars - revenue sharing has been restored to at 65% of last years value, there is a half penny increase in the sales tax and a 1 penny increase in the meals & lodging tax. The homestead exemption money has been funded to the same level as last year. The circuit breaker program has been removed and replaced with a tax fairness credit. Schools will receive more state funding however funding for specific programs will see less. The 400 million dollars in roll backs from the 125th legislature are still in tact. What does Old Orchard Beach think?
