The States road toll has risen following the death of a woman near Burra yesterday. Just after 3pm, police and emergency services were called to the Burra Bypass near Copper House Road after a Peugeot station wagon and a b-double crashed. The driver of the Peugeot, a 42-year-old woman from Pekina, died at the scene. Her death takes the States road toll to 32 as compared to 35 for the same time last year. The driver of the b-double, a 38-year-old man from Yenda in New South Wales, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
