The Sunni Islamist Group ISIS has announced the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate between Iraq and Syria. The details are in the link below. In End Time Survivor I propose that the Leopard of Daniel chapter 7 represents Islamism as a movement. The Leopard emerges after the Lion/Eagle (Britain/USA) and Bear (Russia/Soviet Bloc), but is co-existent. This development has redrawn the map of the Middle East, which is currently based on a century-old model drawn up by the British and French. It is more significant than Saddam Husseins Iraq, and yet the USA and UK are now in no position (either financially or politically) to do anything about it other than posturing. This political vacuum creates an opportunity for Russia and/or China to influence the Middle East in a new way. Again, we need to pray that the God of Israel wil oversee events. The Nations are as a drop to in a bucket to HIm, and He laughs at them. It is He who allows national boundaries to be drawn and redrawn, and He who lifts up Kings and casts them down. No matter what, He is Lord, and the Head of all rule, power and authority.
