The Sydney Masonic Conference and Function Centre, who hosted the racist-rape-training seminar by RSD and Julien the Choker last Thursday, have pulled down their Facebook page as a response to our persuasive posts there. As my last post was attached to a link to that FB page, it has also disappeared. The crux of that last post was that we should politely dissuade them from holding any more seminars by these people again, if, in fact, they are the proposed venue for Juliens triumphant return to Sydney on November 27. Ill call them tomorrow to confirm whether or not theyre holding it, but in the meantime you may wish to email them on [email protected] As I said before, we should stay polite, as they may not have known that the talks last week were going to include advocation of violence and rape-like physical constraint of women, as well as racist stereotyping and abuse of women from other cultures. Also, we do not have confirmation that they will also be the Nov 27 venue. Other news : * Brisbane Nov 13 & Dec 18 - have heard that the Mercure have hosted them before, but am waiting for confirmation. * Melbourne Nov 6 & Dec 4 - as the Como Hotel just cancelled today, no word on relocations. RSDs site has only dates and cities. Anyways, dissuasion for Sydney may continue at [email protected] :)
