The Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark & Luke) all mention Jesus - TopicsExpress

The Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark & Luke) all mention Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane before His arrest, but Luke states something specifically that was omitted by the others. This time of prayer is known to us as "the agony in the garden" and the author, a trained physician from Greece who travelled with the Apostle Paul on his missionary journeys, observed "And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground". (Luke 22:44). There are people who believe this was a figure of speech, but there actually is a medical phenomonon known as HEMATADROSIS, or bleeding sweat, that occurs when a person is under unbearable stress. Under incredible strain, the capillaries under the forehead, under the scalp and/or at the temples rupture, the blood mixes with sweat from the sweat glands, and oozes down the face. A side effect of this is great weakness. This was only the beginning of what Jesus endured for you.
