The Terre Haute Radio Club has started taking donations to fill a storage unit each month. We will then auction the unit with each regularly scheduled storage auction. The funds that we collect will go into the THRC account and be used for repeater maint, system upgrades and other authorized expenses incurred by the Club. Its a great way to get those unwanted items you were going to give away or donate out of the basement or garage and will go to a good cause. A few of the things that we cant accept for the locker are box springs/mattresses, older CRT style TV sets and clothing. These items tend to bring down the over all auction price. We got our first donation today. Still a long way to go to make the unit full enough to get a nice price for it but....this is a great start. I and my brother have a few things that we are going to be adding. Due to bad weather and the parking lots usually covered in ice and snow, I have a tendency to delay the winter auctions until the weather breaks in late Winter early Spring but if I get a full unit before then, we will auction it off all the same.
