Starring #EddieRedmayne (Les Misérables) and #FelicityJones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) The film was inspired by the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and his success in physics Critics are currently setting Redmayne up against #BenedictCumberbatch, who stars biopic #TheImitationGame, for an Oscar nomination. Portraying Stephen Hawking, Redmayne explains, “I totally see why people are (comparing us), because of the subject matter; we both play geniuses. But I won’t be engaged in that.
