Seung Hui Lee, 20, and Jimin Jeong, 23, claimed they were robbed of about P78,000 worth of gadgets, a bag, and cash, police records show. They said the two men, who were wearing masks and carrying an Uzi submarine pistol and a regular pistol alighted from a Mitsubishi Adventure with no plate number and approached them, records show. The man with the pistol allegedly served as look-out while the other pointed his gun at Lee and Jeong and then took a cellular phone worth P35,000, a shoulder bag valued at P3,000, a credit card, and P500 in cash from Lee, and a cellular phone worth P39,300 and P200 in cash from Jeong. Chief Insp. Noel Polines, head of the Bacolod City Police Office Operations Branch, said Thursday that the 10 police stations were ordered to intensify their vigilance at checkpoints amid reports of hold-up and carnapping incidents involving private cars and motorcycles.
