Alfredo Marañon Jr. The fund is part of a $500 million (P22.4 billion) financial assistance signed by the Philippine government with the World Bank, the Daily Star quoted Marañon as saying. Under WB-Department of Agriculture-Philippines Rural Development Project for 2014, Negros Occidental gets P249,146,500, Marlin Sanogal, Provincial Project Management and Implementation Unit head, said. Of the amount, P63,767,500 will be allocated for muscovado rural enterprises for various producers, and P185,379,000 for farm-to-market roads, she added. To be funded are the 4.2 km road linking Sitio Magtuod and Sitio Vergara in Brgy. Bug-ang, Toboso,worth P49,037,000, and the 12 km road between Brgy.
