The Trinitarians wrongly opine that every time Jesus uses the phrase “I(MY)SELF AM-BEING” (Greek: “egoh eimi”) that He is calling Himself God; this wrong thinking distorts the context of every passage they interpret; for example, in JOHN 18:4-9, Jesus answers those who are looking for JESUS THE NAZARETH(ONE) saying “I(MY)SELF AM-BEING”; what Jesus was really doing was admitting that He was the one they were looking for in order to save His disciples from harm, which was fulfilling the gathered-tale in Psalm 41:9 and John 17:12: HE WAS NOT CALLING HIMSELF GOD.
