The Turkish government has been reluctant to become involved in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. But now the country seems to be on course for joining the international campaign against ISIL. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Ankaras position has changed after the release of Turkish hostages previously held by the radical group. Another regional power, Iran, is also mulling its options, while Saudi Arabia publicly expresses concern over Tehrans involvement.
