The Turkish government is about to block Facebook in half an hour. The same time yesterday, Youtube was blocked. Twitter was blocked the day before that. I went to check out a diner which looked good from the outside. You know, those fancy places that overcharge you for food. I went in hoping the food would be good. It wasnt. I ordered a Steak & Cheese sandwich which was nothing like the picture on the menu. The steak itself was paper-thin, the briscotti bread was stale and limp, and the elegant green salad was replaced by some rotten, prison issue mayonnaise salad with frozen peas and carrots. Oh, and the potato wedges were cold and stale as well, almost as if they were recycled from an older batch. The types of people who come to this place are pretty much what youd expect: arrogant, classless middle-class people who arent rich but try to appear as if they are. In the booth behind me were 3 women. One was a 5, the other a 6. Both were wearing way too much makeup. They were about my age. The third was a fat old woman who was a divorce lawyer (definite feminazi). One of the women was going to divorce her husband, her husband having no idea that a divorce was even coming, and the lawyer was giving her all kinds of legal advice in order to screw her soon-to-be-ex-husband out of as much money as possible, and to take the car and the house as well. The other woman was already divorced, and she was explaining how every once in a while she would file another suit against her ex in order to keep squeezing him for more and more money. They were happily clattering away. May they all burn in Hell.
