The UAV is back for 2014! Our television production teams Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will be capturing all of our stunning aerial vision again this year. This particular UAV costs around $35,000 with a full HD camera mounted on a gyro stabilised gimbal to ensure the most stable of shots. The UAV itself is a Hexacopter that weights 7kg, with a range of 10km and ceiling height of 1000m and maximum 15mins of flight time. Its flown by our operator Aiden who can only see what hes filming via a remote screen in front of him. Because of the UAVs range it can operate into commercial air space, thus requiring the pilot of the UAV to be CASA licensed and run maintenance and service logs for the machine.
