The UNC Youth Arm led by Chairman Nicholas Morris begun this past weekend at 5am on Saturday morning, joining our Caroni Central Youth Officer Jesse Pulwarty in the Preysal Communitys walk against crime - a successful event patronized by MP Glenn Ramadhar Singh. On Sunday, the UNC Youth Arm - Youth on a Mission in another collaborative effort with AG Anand Ramlogan initiated its L.I.F.T program with the launch of the Couva North Computer and Homework Center to be led by Couva Norths UNC Youth Officer Visham Balroop haven been given the full blessing and cooperation of MP Ramona Ramdial. With the establishment of the first of many centers along with the donation of two brand new computer systems, laptops and library resources, the UNC Youth Arm continues on its drive not only to bridge the digital divide as with our ICT policy - but now it is our hope to ensure SUSTAINABLE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT through EDUCATION. Furthermore, with the UNs Mellinium Development Goals expiring within a years time, in a partnership with various UN Agents and Agencies, as we continue travelling the country we will be speaking to youth about the UNs MyWorld Campaign which is geared at having the world vote on the 30 goals to be achieved globally over the next 15 years. With almost all of the current MDGs and even the majority of the listed targets haven already been realized under the KPB led Peoples Partnership - we aim to ensure that every young person, whether technical or academic, rural or urban has their voice heard... Youth are often touted as the future, but the UNC Youth Arm has purposed not only to become the future but to shape the bright and prosperous future we want to see and experience in our beloved twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
