The US and its Arab allies have launched airstrikes on ISIL positions in Syria and Iraq border areas. Reports say the attacks targeted the ISIL militants and supply lines west of the key Kurdish town of Kobani in Syrias Aleppo. Kurdish officials in Kobani say the ISIL terrorists are advancing toward the town. Also, a US official says the ISIL strongholds in the Syrian city of Raqqa and Iraqs border area have been attacked as well. The unnamed American official says five Arab states that took part in first strikes, were involved in the fresh attacks too. The first attacks led by the US started on Monday. Also, Australian fighter jets have flown to the UAE to help the US-led airstrikes in Iraq. Meanwhile, Turkey is denying that its airbases and jets are being used in the US-led war.
