The US has one of the most diverse cultures in the world! According to the 2010 IS census, non-Hispanic whites make up 63.4% of the population-while 36.5% of the US population consists of people of color from different ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds. Every year our school system becomes more ethnically , religiously and culturally and socially diverse! Huge implications for educators as we look at creating community inside our classrooms and buildings!
