The Uninvited (The Julianna Rae Chronicles 1) by Aral Beruex was a very interesting read. It was more than interesting; it was intriguing I would say. There are aspects that I truly loved and other aspects that I wanted more of. I loved the world that Aral’s vivid writing brought to life for me. I could picture the seediness of the sectors, the hover drones, the militias and the race for survival. I admit that I wanted more of a connection between C Mads and Julianna. I could see the attraction but I wanted to feel it more. But, being the first book in the chronicles it was a good set up to the wonderful world I am sure Aral will unfold more over her upcoming series. I keep waiting for Julianna to go more bad ass and unveil some awesome powers on the villains that kept hunting her, but that did not happen. However, I am intrigued to continue reading. and that is a good thing. I want to know how it ends, how Julianna’s journey progresses. I want to know if her father is Isis. What is her mother’s story? What will happen to Bas and Devo? Will Juliana and C Mads engage into a hot and steamy relationship? And, I am dying to know Taris’ story. So with this unending need in me to know more, Aral did a wonderful job in rousing my interest and hooking me to her world. I am purchasing Chronicles 2 now! Stacy
