The VPSC and VAFF are delighted to support Hopeful Hearts (HHearts) on our upcoming Good Will Tour of Taiwan and China. HHearts are a volunteer ex pat organisation led in Guangzhou by Asha Hoffman. Since 2004, Asha and her team have saved over 300 children’s lives by supplying funds to Chinese children and their families for life saving heart surgery. These families belong to remote villages and without their support with have little hope. This year alone they have saved 30 lives’. Unfortunately, little Wang Jie lost her life after a brave struggle two days after surgery. This loss of life demonstrates the critical importance of HHearts work and the support of VPSC and our partners, VAFF. The VPSC and VAFF are holding a fund raising event at the Peninsula Restaurant in Wantirna on Monday, 24 June 2013 to raise the funds to save more beautiful Chinese children. There are 210 people supportive of the VPSC and the VAFF attending and we look forward to a wonderful evening. Anyone wishing to make a donation can transfer funds into the VPSC charity account and ALL funds will be used to support this extremely worthy cause and the Beijing International Committee for Chinese orphans. Please put your name next to the transfer fund and HHearts as a reference (Bill Smith – HHearts) so we can thank you! The VPSC account details for external transfers are; BSB 704230 Account No. 100430041 and internal transfers; 912569S2.2. The VPSC can’t wait to make another difference in Taiwan and China. Unbelievable work HHearts – 300 more gorgeous, smiling and beautiful faces across China – thanks to you guys!!” Please take the time to have a look at the faces of these unfortunate children and their families.
