The Vincennes University Gala Concert set for Wednesday has been postponed so that it will not conflict with the memorial visitation for Phillip M. Summers from 4-8 p.m. at First Christian Church, 319 Broadway St. Summers, who died Sunday in Bloomington, had served as president of Vincennes University for 21 years and had been active in the completion of the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center and the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy. Summers is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Summers, three daughters, Lynn, Pam, and Angela and four grandsons. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. Visitation will also be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Tower Mausoleum at Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations can be made to First Christian Church, Red Skelton Museum Foundation, Vincennes University Foundation, Knox County Community Foundation or Pi Kappa Phi Foundation.
