The Volta Institute of Development Studies (VIDS) IS established as a leadership and professional development Institute at Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. The institute is established to provide continuous education and professional Skills training for all categories of people to continue their education and develop their professional competencies. The institute will close the gap and provide the opportunity for those who hitherto have been left out in their pursuit for further education. This was the outcome of our Community Skills Training under the Courage Foundation International (CFI) in some selected Communities in Ghana. The institute is registered with Registrar General Department and Ghana Education Service (GES), Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training and affiliated to other education and training institution in Ghana and internationally. The institute is set up to promote flexibility for learning and to undertake research for the development of continuous Vocational education in the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole. VIDS undertakes to collaborate and network with other likeminded institutions and organizations in Ghana and Internationally. VISION To become a model educational institution in Ghana and play leading role in the provision of quality Skills trainee focused educational services. MISSION To provide and maintain a conducive learning environment to promote cost effective training of competent and skilled manpower with entrepreneurial, leadership and managerial skills to advance economic growth of individuals and organizations in the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole.
