The Water Collaborative (Amigos de la Presa, Audubon, and Salvemos al Rio Laja) needs your help! Beginning in mid-August, they would like to find a place for Cherubina Lepore – who is coming to SMA for three months. She will be here through Engineers Without Borders – UK volunteering her time to help with a few water related projects, most importantly, completing a study of the Las Cachinches – the very troubled arroyo that runs right through San Miguel before entering the Presa. She needs a small place to live and conduct some of her computer work near El Centro so that she can easily get to various sections of the arroyo. If you have a place that you could either donate or rent at a reduced cost, please write Mike Lambert as soon as possible. Also, if during the three months, you may be able to host her in your home for a dinner or two, that would also be appreciated greatly.
