The West Mifflin Soccer Club would like to take a minute to recognize one of our communities finest young players. Chad Wright, a Junior at WMHS & starter for our WM Titans Boys HS Soccer team, has recently competed in & won a national championship with his Futsal team, The PGH U17 Barbarians. Chad & his teammates took part in the US Futsal Cup in Annapolis Maryland on the weekend of 12/20/14. The tournament featured teams from 8 different states, Brazil, & Mexico. The Barbarians won 3 of 4 preliminary games en route to a 6-3 semi final victory & finally a 9-6 Championship game victory. Chad has played soccer for WMSC for around 12 years from rec league soccer through high school soccer. He also plays Cup Soccer for PFC & Futsal for Barbarians. Congratulations to Chad & his teammates for a great victory!!!!!
