The Western Establishment and the westerners in general want Israel to stay despite all, and the last thing the west wants is to see is Israel annihilated because the west identifies with Israel , and recognizes itself in it and the westerners will not give up on Israel . You rarely find a westerner who want the Palestinians to recover fully their land and their rights and chase out the usurpers .This kind of person is rarely found among westerners . The westerners want to see Palestinians retrieve some of their rights but not at the detriment of the existence of Israel . They want to consider that both- Palestinians and usurpers -have equal rights to the land and this is where the notion of Apartheid comes in handy . This notion acceptable to the westerner is alien to the Palestinians who will refrain from using but is familiar to the European and easily understandable . The advantage of the Apartheid thing is that it preserves Israel and keeps away the bitter cup of the armed Resistance that can do away with Israel in a short time . The armed Resistance is not a fairy tale . It is something that happened and proved its effectiveness on the ground . It succeeded in liberating Lebanon- unconditionally- after 18 years of Israeli occupation.
