The Westgate Mall was on my to go places this mornjng. I got into the car with young Timothy to do some banking at CFC Bank after having failed to influence son Pamodzi and my wife Irene to join me and have lunch at this modern mall. After reversing the car my neighbour Bob Hanjahanja stopped me for sone thirty minutes to catch up. Then I told him I needed to go to the mall and left immediately thereafter with my the young Timothy. Five minutes thereafter Bob called me and warned me about gunshots reported at the mall and I immediately made a u-turn.Hundreds of shoppers have been kept hostage. Police have since eleven this morning surrounded the mall in a sophisticated rescue operation that is continuing until now. Prayers are needed badly even as hospitals are appealibg for blood donations. Keep Nairobi and Kenya in prayer as the government deals with this conplex security situation. Above all pray for those trapped in the building and their loved ones who are watching TV screens helplessly waiting to reconnect with their loves ones! I too could have been there with Timothy if Bob had not delayed me!
