The Wins You Dont see on Cheer Updates Every Monday of the season our timelines are filled with proud accomplishments grand champs, division winners, bids. Cheer Extreme won a lot this weekend in three different cities .. In total $100,000 in paid bids to three different events...and 9 huge wins in tough divisions ...I am so incredibly proud of everyone of our athletes. But I hope youll read what else I learned we won.. Since my daughters were 3 I have carried the same magical good luck gold glitter. Every time they compete I put a heart on both their ankles to keep them safe and then I draw a heart above their heart and a matching one on myself. In the hustle of competing and running back and forth to accu-war I couldnt get to Carley in time for hers before her 4.2 team went on. I pushed play hoping the superstition wasnt real and then watched helplessly as my fear materialized.. Her stunt came down. Its heart wrenching. All I could do was be the first hug she got off the floor.. Teams watch a replay backstage and I was so worried for her for the sting of rewatching that mistake except .... The sting never came Ive watched replays of routines thousands of times with my teams and cried buckets of happy tears reliving the glory of the great ones As this routine played I cried different happy tears as her team took every opportunity To praise what she did right. They knew what happened and cared for Her so genuinely .. Telling her it was ok, pointing out the good things...drying her little eyes with reassurance..showing the sweetest, kindest, most pure demonstration of love. This experience must have been Gods way to Prepare me for having to witness Senior Elite drop more stunts in 12 seconds than they have in the two months .. On stage I love this team... I am more attached to these girls than I believe I ever have been to a team... I know that 12 seconds doesnt define who they are or what they are capable of doing when it counts. And I now love them even more for what happened after their devastating mistakes. With a non stop action packed 2:00 still to go in the routine they pulled themselves together, dug deep, and kept fighting. Hitting the remaining sections ... Ordinarily disasters breed more disasters Disappointment leads to even more mistakes... Except not my girls. It takes so much heart So much team love and drive to dust yourself off and keep going.. In that fight while in absolute pain I saw 36 winners...just not the kind that needs a retweet. I love what we do at CEA I love their love and the love they get to keep long after they grow out of their jackets when their summit rings are replaced with wedding rings.. this kinda love remains
