The Wondrous Journey of The Runnable Object Once upon a time there was an object, but it needed to be executed... So it decided to implement the Runnable interface and took upon itself the Runny designation. But what did it want to execute? It didnt know... So, Runny when out and ask to other objects what to execute. No one knew, but there was an older object that escaped the garbage collection for several iterations by holding on to its references that knew where to look for. It said make a native call to the shared libraries that live underworld! A so Runny departed to the wondrous world of JNI -- most of the other objects were horrified! The warned about the memory leaks and machine crashes, and worst of all, about the coming of the big reboot that the user would bring upon them as punishment for such heretic ideas. But the object didnt care! He went anyway....
