The Word Goodluck From Nigeria Perspective! We cannot agree to dictionary meaning of every word without relating such to event and peculiarities. For example, The word Crisis has two meaning in China. According to Chinese, the word crisis could be CHAOS or OPPORTUNITY depends on degree of event and peculiarities at a particular period of time. Delving the dictionary meaning of the word Goodluck, we expect it should bring success, happiness, prosperity and every good things Goodluck must bring. But from Nigeria perspective, can we say Goodluck represent its dictionary meaning? Is it GOOD LUCK when Nigeria President increased petrol pump price from #65 to #97? Is it GOOD LUCK for Nigerians when Kerosene price shoot from #50 to #130 under President order? Is it GOOD LUCK when we lost fellow country citizens under questionable circumstances when our president is watching? Is it GOOD LUCK when our female girls smiled and waived their parent to school in the morning but never made it home under our kindergarten president emergency rule order? Is it GOOD LUCK for the country when Nigeria Unity is threatened by inefficiency of her president? Is it GOOD LUCK when youth unemployment increases on daily basis because Nigeria President lacks the necessary strategy to arrest the situation? Is it GOOD LUCK when poverty has taken over Nigeria street when billions of dollar re embezzled and mismanaged by Nigeria Presidency? Is GOODLUCK when every Nigerian has no access to drinkable water under a clueless president? Is it GOODLUCK when our federal roads have become death traps under a kindergarten president? Is it GOOD LUCK when religion is mocked by politics because our president is drowning? Thus, from Nigeria perspective, the word GOODLUCK connotes Disaster, Retrogression, Insecurity, Unemployment, Poverty and Backwardness. Do you agree?
