The agent of Porto striker Jackson Martinez has admitted that Napoli are close to paying the Colombian’s buy out clause, but insists that is the only way the Portuguese club will let him go. agent Manuel Manzo has stated that the Dragoes are keen to hold onto his client. “Porto don’t want to sell him and want to hold onto him for another season as he is key for the squad,” he told Colombia’s Antenna 2. “There are possibilities like Napoli or Borussia Dortmund but if these two clubs want Jackson then they must pay his buy out clause and convince the player to leave Portugal. “The player is happy and his priority is to stay, but if there was an important offer then we would look at it, but the first option is to stay and continue with this club. “Until now there has been no agreement on his contract renewal but I will be in Portugal next week to close this saga. “The offers are not far from what Porto wants but they want to keep him, so I repeat, the only way is to pay the buy out clause.”
