The annual Beth Eden Baptist church Backpack and school supply giveaway is approaching Saturday, August 16, 2014. In order to ensure the success of this very important event, we are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with the event, so that all funds raised can go directly toward the Children of West Oakland. Generous donors like you are the key to our success and make it possible for Beth Eden to provide families in the West Oakland Community needed school supplies. ?In Oakland, 68 percent of the 50,400 public school students are poor enough to qualify for the federal lunch program.
