The article in the colourful motorcycle magazine was short and straight to the point. It said if a rider didnt accept their role and responsibility for a motorcycle accident, they might not be able to avoid or survive the next one. It hit me with a jolt. When I crashed my 1,000GHC Yamaha XJR 400 in 2004, I went around telling everybody who cared to listen that a reckless driver failed to signal before making a left turn. Their sympathies soothed my pain and somehow compensated for the loss of my beautiful black bike. That was until I read that article. I was riding well above the speed dictated by common sense. Second, I started overtaking very early. It was a 2 way street and I had no business riding in the lane of oncoming traffic even when traffic wasnt flowing. Third, I didnt sound my horn before and during the manoeuvre. Fortunately, my full-face crash helmet was firmly buckled on. My stupidity would have been complete that day and God would have been questioned for nothing. It has been the practice to blame others since Adam blamed God for Eve in the garden of Eden. The woman You gave me. . . . He said. So you cant really blame people for blaming people. We got it by inheritance. Today, people blame a woman for getting herself raped. She was in skimpy dress. Its definitely the fault of a pedestrian who gets knocked down by a driver doing 100km/h in a 50km/h zone. And my recent favorite one is that, successful people on Facebook are to blame for the stress and depression people go through here. They make their success stories so sweet that people cant help but envy them. Hope you heard that, successful folks. I am not one of you. . . .yet. I went to investigate the cause of a loud quarrel between a married man and a girl the other day. The girl threatened to send him to WAJU for child neglect. I intervened to calm nerves. The mans story was that, the girl used to be his girlfriend till he got married. Just listen to him. This girl is a witch! Mr. Anyomi. She knew my wife had traveled but she visited me after 9pm. I had returned from work, was watching television and had fallen asleep on my bed. I woke up to a knock on the door. I asked the person to come in and there she stood. I offered her a chair and she refused and sat on the bed. I dont know what happened and before I knew, I had slept with her. My wife offered to take in the child but she refused and has since been disturbing me. I do my best for the child but she says its not enough. Shes a witch! She seduced me. Its called the blame game. There should be an Android game by that name.
