The attempt on the life of Kharkiv Mayor Ghennadiy Kernes is a matter of settling scores in the underworld, says National Deputy Ghennadiy Moskal. Moskal told Sevodnia that it has nothing to do with politics or the disturbances in eastern Ukraine. Kernes was shot earlier today during his daily run (with bodyguards tracking him in an SUV), apparently pierced in the lung and liver.
