The author Ray Stedman wrote: After all, joy is loving enjoying itself; peace if love resting; patience is love waiting; kindness if love reacting; goodness is love choosing; faithfulness is love keeping its word; gentleness is love empathizing; and self-control is love resisting temptation. Lets focus on kindness today.....which is how love reacts. Kindness isnt something we put on for different occasions. Kindness is a characteristic of Gods, and He desires that same character in us. Think about some of your responses to people, or your children this past week. Were you a little impatient? Was there a bit of irritation, or did you say something that you wish you could take back? Take time today to just sit and meditate on how the Lord has been kind to you, and then confess your unkindness and ask Him for His forgiveness. Then give God permission to continue His work in you. Continuing to work through the Holy Spirit to develop the fruit of kindness in you. .....Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to His cross and crucified them there.
