The bad news is, Ive been in Jordan for 10 days and have still not been issued a work laptop. The good news is, I packed my own. The bad news is that I left it on the plane that brought me to Paris. The good news is, my cell phone works with WiFi here, so even if I cant work effectively, at least I can broadcast my complaints to the world via Facebook. Also, I can download books from the public library back home to my kindle, which is really pretty awesome. The bad news is that Im almost 2 weeks in to a 2 month position and am already horribly behind. The good news is that I finally found d a liquor store tonight and bought myself a few brews to console myself. The bad news is that while beer isnt outlawed here outright, it might as well be - one 12 ounce bottle ran me 6 bucks. The good news is, I guess Ill cut back on the beer habit while Im here. If only I had a computer to distract myself with... Sigh...
